Tennis Elbow is painful and is due to an over-use of the muscle on the back of the lower arm (extensor muscles). There is an inflammation of the attachment of those muscles on the outside part of the elbow that causes varying degrees pain.


Surgery will loosen this inflamed attachment at the elbow through an incision on the outside aspect of the elbow. After the surgery, the elbow will be immobilized in a cast for two weeks.
